Advocacy

We educate elected officials on issues vital to the Jewish community, and we champion important legislation. To ensure an informed electorate, we surface information about politicians, pending bills, and policy positions.

We are currently working on the following:

• We are monitoring hate crimes legislation that pertains to protections for the Jewish American Community in Harrisburg.
• We are meeting with local elected officials on a regular basis about the rising tide of antisemitism and what actions they can take to protect their constituents.

Candidate evaluations

Beacon Coalition vets candidates for political office in three areas:  combating antisemitism, upholding democracy, and championing pluralism.

Candidate support

Our affiliated group, Beacon Coalition Political Act Fund, will provide explicit support to politicians who share our values.
